I really love the shift in Megan’s character, particular what we’ve seen post ‘Mini-France.’ She’s become confident and dominant, where before she was often hesitant or harboured doubt.
I actually have the opposite opinion of Megan and Matt’s relationship…I think they do work together, because Matt isn’t one to get jealous. I think he likes the prestige of dating a woman who is as powerful and dominant and Megan. Like…her fucking David to spite Jenn and Cindy would not bother him, because he doesn’t have feelings like that. Theirs is an open relationship, and allows him the same freedoms; to have sex outside their relationship as long as it’s with a purpose or to satisfy a goal.
But I think he’s also ok with allowing her to be in charge (from what we’ve seen). He hasn’t tried his usual macho bullshit with her…she almost immediately took the top position with him, and he hasn’t pushed back against it. For Matt, that is growth. And for Megan’s part…being with Matt has allowed her to explore her sexuality in different ways…particularly indulging her very un-Irish Catholic fetish for balls.
I DO agree that Paul is a better guy, and probably treated Megan better…probably treats most women better, but he’s also pretty straight laced and pretty set in his old school masculinity (opening doors, paying the cheque, etc…a gentlemen), where Megan, coming out of her long, restrictive, marriage isn’t looking to settle down and isn’t looking for vanilla romance…she’s looking for a low-key scumbag who will give her the freedom to sow the wild oats she spent most of her adult life repressing.

Either way…the definitive relationship for Megan; in my mind; is always her and France. That rivalry…that tension…drives them both.
I’m very interested in seeing what happens next with them.
Matt may be good for her in that way but I just don’t like him, I think she can do better than him for a women as hot as her.
Petr is a handsome dude and has women fighting for him which will give her the drive to fight, plus he’s not the jealous type and will let Megan explore her sexual freedom as long as she allows him to fuck anything with a vagina.
